Child Health / Paediatric Development
By arrangement with the Health Visitors. Your Health Visitor will provide you with details of when and where you can have your baby weighed and see how they are growing! Alternatively, please contact your Health Visitor to arrange an appointment if you wish to discuss any specific concerns you may have regarding your child’s health, growth, development or behaviour.
Antenatal
The midwife attends the practice weekly for booking and routine appointments which can be arranged at reception
Well-person
The practice offers a free health check to any man or woman who would like to make an appointment. This may be any day of the week by arrangement
Cervical Smears
Most days by computerised recall or appointment. The practice nurses run this clinic.
Minor Surgery
By arrangement with the doctor. Doctors who provide this service are Dr Wilkinson, Dr Graham, Dr Palekanda and Dr Atkinson
Diabetic Clinic
Tuesday morning with Sister Tudor and Dr Palekanda, by appointment
Asthma Clinic
Friday afternoon by appointment with Sister Tudor
Blood Pressure
Most days by appointment. This practice nurse clinic is for monitoring patients who are established on medication
Heart Disease Prevention
For any patients at risk of developing heart disease or those with existing problems. Wednesday afternoons with Sister Rocca and Dr Graham, by appointment
New Patient
All new patients registering with the practice are offered a health promotion check-up with the practice nurse. You are advised to attend if you are new to us, as this helps us to obtain any relevant medical history before your medical records arrive from your previous doctors, which can sometimes take a few weeks
Counsellor
We provide a practice-based counselling service. Access to this service is through referral by one of the doctors or practice nurses.
Non-NHS Services
Non-NHS work is also provided and includes insurance medicals, HGV and PSV medicals, private certification, signing of passports, driving licences etc, and other services not covered by the NHS.
There will be a charge for these services. Please ask at reception for details or see the practice information notice board.
